California Youth Chinese Symphony is open to any children, youth, and adults who want to learn to play Chinese instruments. If you love playing musical instruments and enjoy playing music with friends, CYCS provides a supportive environment for all of our students. Through playing music, members increase their awareness of Chinese culture and make lifelong friendships with one another.
All new members should go through an audition with CYCS. It is an opportunity for us to understand your musical background and performing experiences. At the same time, you will also meet with some of our teachers to ensure our group can suit your needs. To request for an audition, click on the button below to complete the audition form. Once completed, CYCS will contact you to set up a time for an audition. Typically, auditions will be held on Sunday either before a class, before a rehearsal, or after rehearsal. On certain occasions, Saturday auditions may also be available. |
