​Juan Huang

Pipa Instructor

​A senior pipa instructor in the Bay Area, graduated from Anhui Huangmei Opera Vocational College of Art, and worked as the principal pipa player at Anhui Huangmei Opera Theater of Anhui Performing Arts Group. Huang has been professionally engaged in pipa music and drama performance in China for more than ten years. She has participated in the recording of many Huangmei Opera movies, TV series, and Huangmei Opera audio-visual recordings. She has performed for national leaders in Zhongnanhai, Beijing, and participated in the 1984 CCTV Spring Festival Gala with the famous Huangmei Opera actress Ma Lan. She devoted herself to teaching pipa music since living in the Bay Area. Dozens of his students have won medals in various international folk music competitions in Canada, the United States, and China.
