The Chinese Instrument International Competition World Cup U.S.A has earned its reputation since it was successfully commenced in 2006 and then in 2008. Its goal is to promote performing arts of Chinese instruments, to encourage music exchange, to raise the level of artistic standards, and to offer performing stage for the Chinese music lovers. The 3rd Chinese Instrument International Competition World Cup U.S.A. competition will be held August 20-22, 2010. We look forward to your participation in this exciting event.

¡P         Various types of groups using primarily Chinese instruments, including ensembles and orchestra

¡P         Chinese Instruments New Composition Competition (music must be played live)

¡P         Professional Junior (Age 7-15), Professional Youth (Age 16-20), Professional Adult (Age 21 or above)

¡P         Amateur Junior (Age 7-15), Amateur Youth (16-20), Amateur Adult (Age 21 or above)

 

5.    Awards

Gold, Silver, Bronze, Merit awards, Best Gardener Award

Gold winners have opportunities to be casted in Music Channel, Children Channel, and Children New Year Gala of China Central Television, U.S. World Channel and other media programs.

 

6.    Registration Fees

Outside U.S.A.: $200 USD *

* Registration fees must be submitted along with the registration form. An invitation letter will be sent by the competition committee for visa stamping. $100 USD shall be refunded if visa stamping is unsuccessful. Registration fees after deadline is $300 USD. Competitors will be responsible for the mailing fees if invitation letters need to be resent due to individual problems. All other fees are at competitors¡¦ own expense, including the costs for visa stamping, round-trip tickets, room and board, and transportation.

Inside U.S.A.: $100 USD
Ensembles: $100 USD per individual outside U.S.A.
$50 USD per individual inside U.S.A.

Photocopy of a valid ID. Registration form in both Chinese and English. Two (2) two-inch (2¡¨) colored personal photos and one (1) artistic performing photo.

Fill out carefully and legibly the Chinese and English name, the Chinese and English mailing address, and the music piece (maximum 7 minutes)
