Alan Yang
Alan Yang is a cellist was born in China with a family of musicians and began his music studies at young age. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from Wu Han conservatory in China. He was a member of East Symphony Orchestra of Wu Han, and a member of the First China Cello Orchestra with 20 highly gifted cello students selected from the Chinese leading academies of music which lead by a well known Swiss Cellist, Albert Roman. Alan’s performed in Sils, Scuol, Luzern, Basel in Switzerland, Beijing, Ji Nan, Shanghai, and Suzhou in China. In 2002, he received a full scholarship award from Indiana University of South Bend to continue his Artist Diploma and Master Degree in Cello performance. During his academic year, he was a member of the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra. He was also invited to perform at Dallas several times before. In 2003, he was invited to perform on the Elitist Concert, which was organized by Texas Chinese Performing Arts Association, and received the “Honor Citizen Certificate Award” of Dallas Government. Alan loves his career as a performing artist and having the passion toward teaching young and adult cellist.
